K. Bromberg and Tay from Chicks That Read

K. Bromberg:

This is a hard question…Who my fave book boyfriend is….So besides Colton and Becks (obviously… lol), I’m going to have to say Christian Grey. My reason may be a little different than some but Christian got me reading again when I hadn’t in a while due to day to day life and kids and lack of time. But I picked up Fifty Shades of Grey (after a phone call from my mother) and devoured all three books. Then I read more books. And more books. Then one day I thought, “I can do this. I can write a book,” and so I started outlining Driven. So to me Christian is my favorite book boyfriend not only for the character he is between the pages, but also for the unexpected career he led me to.

Tay:

My ultimate book boyfriend is Jared Trent, from Penelope Douglas Fall Away series. This was a hard decision for me as I have an irrational love for all of Douglas’ leading men, from the self-assured Madoc to the complex Jax, but I had to pick Jared for a number of reasons. Firstly he is a bad boy and what woman doesn’t like to make that bad boy go good, specially when said bad boy is a delicious tattooed god who drives not only a fantastic car but a motorcycle too! *swoon* Jared is so much more than a pretty face though, he oozed emotion for me, with a heavy heart, he faces personal and heartbreaking trials that just made me love him even more. I can say with complete confidence that Jared Trent is the perfect book boyfriend, Penelope Douglas is a master at creating characters that capture you and I am captured, hook line and sinker!

Terri Nixon & Samie Sands choose their ultimate Valentine’s Day book boyfriend

Day 4 of our quest for the ultimate Valentine’s Day book boyfriend! Today historical romance author Terri Nixon and book blogger Sammie from The Lockdown choose theirs. Can you think of someone better? Let us know on Twitter or Facebook

Terri:

Thanks to Anna for inviting me to talk about my book-boyfriend. So many books, so many men… so little resistance! Being a long-time Diana Gabaldon fan, it’s a given that Jamie Fraser, from the Outlander series, will rank very high on my list. However, for me it all took a bit of a swerve a few books in, and now it’s all about Roger Mac. I’ve always been a sucker for green eyes and dark hair, and, let’s face it, Roger is basically a green-eyed, dark-haired, Jamie! I don’t think he’s been cast in the TV series yet, but in my head he very definitely has a Henry Cavill look about him. Throw in a beautiful singing voice, a guitar and a bodhran, and it’s a big dollop of “yes please!” from this end!

Samie:

I would pick Kellan Kyle from the Thoughtless series for my book boyfriend. Not only is he a sexy, mysterious musician, he’s a romantic, caring soul who gives absolutely everything when he falls in love. What more could a girl want?!

Elizabeth Hoyt and Alba in Bookland choose their book boyfriend

For day 2 of our search for the perfect Valentine’s Day book boyfriend, bestselling author Elizabeth Hoyt and Alba from the blog AlbaInBookland make some brilliant choices. But do you agree? Tell us your ultimate Valentine’s Day book boyfriend on Facebook or Twitter now!

Elizabeth:

My book boyfriend is Wolf MacKenzie from Linda Howard’s classic, MacKenzie’s Mountain. Wolf is strong, gentle, protective, and, of course, heart-meltingly sexy!

Alba:

You know what they say… Boys. They are better in books. I think I have so many book boyfriends that I could fill a whole notebook listing them. Yes, I am a book slut. But can I do, I fall in love easily and thanks to my books I have met the most perfect, gorgeous and charming men.

If I had to choose only one I think I would pick Alex Reid, from the I Heart Series by Lindsey Kelk. What can I say… I have a soft spot for musicians and Alex is the leading singer of his own rock band. With a wild past, he is ready to settle down and with that long fringe falling on his green eyes, who would be able to tell him no? Imagine going to a concert with thousands of people and knowing that he is singing the songs he has composed for you directly at you, because you are the only that matters to him. Dream come true. But he is much more than a musician, always easygoing but ready for a grand gesture when you less expect it. Perfect book boyfriend material.

Also, if I had to choose a Piatkus book boyfriend in between all the gorgeous men they publish, I’d pick without a doubt Luc, from Breaking Love by M.J. Summers. Luc is sexy as hell and the most romantic guy ever and he is French. Who can resist a French accent? I would totally escape to Paris with him for a weekend, or… eh… forever!

Samantha Young & Emma from Book Angel Booktopia choose their book boyfriend

Day one of our search for the ultimate Valentine’s Day book boyfriend and we’re joined by bestselling author Samantha Young and Emma from the blog Book Angel Booktopia

See if you agree with their choices below, then let us know YOUR choice of book boyfriend on Facebook or Twitter #valentinesbookboyfriend. If they feature in one of our books, you could be in with the chance of winning a copy!

Samantha:

My favourite book boyfriend has to be Jericho Z Barrons from Karen Marie Moning’s FEVER SERIES. I read this series once a year just so I can savour Barrons over and over again. He’s actually more anti-hero than hero, but I love how mysterious, complicated, funny, brooding and scary powerful he is. He keeps me guessing and I absolutely adore his insane chemistry with the heroine Mac.

Emma:

I was so excited to talk book boyfriends when Clara mentioned the idea to me. Then she dropped the bomb that I would have to pick ONE. I mean come on my book boyfriend changes with every book I read, the list just keeps growing 🙂 Well it did get me thinking, I love a bad boy as much as anyone BUT could I really see myself with one. The answer is NO, I am far too insecure, even at my age, to deal with all the baggage a bad boy carries. So that leaves the good guys, it’s a complete myth that they finish last you know.

I have to say originally I was going to cheat and go with two hot cowboys both by the same author (so not REALLY cheating) Chance Anderson and Jesse Walker both characters from Three Brothers by the wonderful Nicole Williams. Don’t get me wrong they totally have the whole alpha male thing going on *swoon* BUT they have hearts of pure gold and the women they love are worshiped 🙂

But then I remembered who I turn to for comfort. When I am feeling a little down or just in need of a good dose of warm and fuzzies, my go to guy HAS to be Lucas Maxfield. I seriously loved him in Easy by Tammara Webber but when I read Breakable there was no turning back. This guy has my heart in his hands every single time. So if you haven’t met Lucas yet, remember that boy is MINE 😉

Hero by Samantha Young is out now.
