Stephanie Wahlstrom & Miss Bookworm choose their book boyfriend for Valentine’s Day

Day three of our quest for the ultimate Valentine’s Day book boyfriend and today we’re joined by Stephanie Wahlstrom, author of The Accidental Socialite and The Accidental New Yorker, and book blogger Abbey from Miss Bookworm. The conversation continues on Twitter and Facebook so join us and share your Valentine’s Day book boyfriend of choice!

Stephanie:

My ultimate book boyfriend has always been Mark Darcy from Bridget Jones’ Diary. I was sixteen when I first read the book and strangely identified with the thirty-something Bridget, as if I knew I would become her someday (despite not being British nor living in a big city). What drew me to Mark Darcy was the famous scene where he tells her he likes her just the way she is.  It blew my mind. Imperfect Bridget found someone who liked her just as she was? Really and truly? Shortly after I read the book, I was told I needed some dental work and spent my last year of high school missing my right front tooth. Boys weren’t exactly fighting over me and I didn’t have a date to prom, but it didn’t really bother me. In the back of my mind I knew one day I would find my Mark Darcy, who would love me just the way I am, with or without my teeth.

Abbey:

My Book Boyfriend has to be sexy and handsome Braden Carmichael from the On Dublin Street series by Samantha young. As soon as i first read On Dublin Street and read about Braden and Jocelyn, I knew I was going to want to have him as my book boyfriend. He comes across as scary and bit mean but deep down he is a softy and true romantic.
